Job Fair: Big Success

Warren High School seniors who are about to enter the job market and training attended the job fair.
The Bradley County Job Fair had a great turnout April 10th.  The event was held at the Immanuel Baptist Church and was organized by the Bradley County Department of Human Services under the direction of County Administrator Dorothy Henderson.  The job fair is an annual event in Warren and has helped many people find good jobs and new careers.
Walgreens participated in the fair.

This year's fair saw 38 businesses and educationial institutions on hand to provide information on opportunities for work and training.  Among the businesses present were Armstrong Corporation,  Anthony Forest Products and several companies in the area of health care.  Also in attendance were a number of state agencies such as the Arkansas State Police, Department of Corrections, Department of Tourism, Department of Human Services,  the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission/Enforcement and the Arkansas National Guard.  There were several nonprofit organizations on hand and the Warren Police Department.  Also present was the University of Arkansas at Monticello, Southeast Arkansas College, SEACBEC and Southeast Arkansas Community Action.  The Bradley County Economic Commission was present to help.
David King, Representative Jeff Wardlaw, Dorothy
Henderson, Mayor Bryan Martin, Alderman Marty Reep.

Dorothy Henderson welcomed those present who then heard from Mayor Bryan Martin, Rep. Jeff Wardlaw and Chamber President David King.  Pastor Richey of Immanuel also welcomed everyone.  A number of adults and high school students were on hand visiting with the various participants.

Based upon comments from the companies and organizations present, there are job opportunities available in the Warren area.  Some require additional training and all demand good work ethics and a drug free lifestyle. (See more below the ad.)
