Applications for Foster Grandparent Program Being Sought


Eastside New Vision Charter School is seeking applications for the Foster Grandparent Program.  The Foster Grandparent Program is open to low-income persons 55 years and over who love children and have a desire to help them learn.  In return for their service of 4 hours each school day (20 hours a week), they receive:
modest tax-free stipend
transportation allowance
hot meals while in service
accident insurance
annual physical exam
Foster Grandparents work one-on-one with students with reading skills.
Applications may be picked up at Eastside Elementary. For more information, call Roselyn Busby, FPG Director, or Andra Brown, FPG Volunteer Coordinator, at the SEARK Educational Cooperative at 367-6848.
