The Forestry Club at the University of Arkansas at Monticello will once again sponsor the Drew County Log-a-Load for Kids fund raiser August 2 to benefit the Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock. A year ago the club helped raise over $75,000 for the hospital. This year’s Log-a-Load will be back on the UAM campus Saturday, August 2 at 6 pm. Other sponsors include Campbell Global LLC, Georgia Pacific, Plum Creek and The Price Companies. Proceeds from the event will be used to establish an endowment  to support maintenance and operating expenses for the Log-a-Load for Kids of Arkansas Emergency Department at ACH. The event includes a fish dinner, raffle, silent auction and public auction of items donated by area businesses. Tickets are $20 and may be purchased at the door or from a Log-a-Load committee member. Raffle tickets for a $1,000 gift card, a yeti cooler and other items are being sold separately. For information, contact the UAM Forestry Club at (870) 460-1348.
