Level I Students Learning The Ropes At Eastside

About 100 young students getting ready to start school in August are attending a camp at Eastside school to get them oriented to and comfortable with beginning their level I (kindergarten) education.
The youngsters are meeting their teachers, learning about the cafeteria, touring the school and being taught playground safety.  Instruction concerning riding the bus and where to go if delivered to school by car are also being provided.  It is all about getting them ready to start learning in a comfortable environment.  The children are being feed breakfast and lunch with a grant received by the school.

Eastside counselor Terrie Callaway says the camp is helpful to the kids and the parents.  There is expected to be at least 134 students in the 2014-2015 class of Level I.
