Operation Patriotic Bradley County will again be flying American Flags on the Bradley County Court Square. The Robert Abernethy Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) has adopted this project and plans to fly the flags from the last week of August until mid November, including Veterans’ Day.
Flags may be purchased for $30 each in memory of or in honor of someone. If you purchased a flag previously, and it is still in the box, we will be happy to fly it again. You may contact me at edcastle@sbcglobal.net, or call 226-3197. When the flags are taken down in November, they may be picked up or mailed to the person who purchased the flag.
Deadline to purchase a flag will be August 8, 2014. To purchase a flag, pick up a form at one of the following locations: Warren Branch Library, Bradley County Veterans’ Museum or Bradley County Chamber of Commerce.
