UAM Announces Dates For Fall Admission, Orientation And Registration


           MONTICELLO, AR — The University of Arkansas at Monticello has announced registration dates for the fall semester at its campuses in Monticello, Crossett and McGehee.
            The priority deadline to apply for admission for the fall term is August 11, according to Mary Whiting, director of admissions. The final date for processing applications for admission is August 20.
            Registration for first-time freshmen will be held Monday, August 18 at all three campuses. All first-time freshmen must attend orientation sessions ontheir respective campuses. Freshmen at the Monticello campus have been mailed specific details regarding times and locations for their orientation sessions.  First-time freshmen and new transfer students at the Crossett and McGehee campuses will attend orientation sessions at 1 p.m. in the student centers on each campus.

            New transfer students to the Monticello campus are invited to attend an orientation session on Tuesday, August 19, at 9 a.m.. Specific details regarding time and location have been sent by mail.
            Graduate students and students taking only night classes at the Monticello campus may register August 18  from 5-7 p.m. in Harris Hall. Night-only students at either the Crossett or McGehee campus may register August 18 from 5-7 p.m. in the Student Centers at either campus.
            An open registration will be held at all three campuses Tuesday, August 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Late registration begins on Wednesday, August 20  and runs through Friday, August 22 at all three campuses. Students registering during this period will be required to pay a $25 late fee.
            Classes at all three locations begin Wednesday, August 20.
