Warren Fire Department Responds To Three Calls


July 12th the Warren Fire Department responded to a small fire on a vacant lot on Watts Street.  On the 15th of the month another grass fire was put out on lot at Packard and Howard Streets.  Both were caused by unknown sources but did little damage and were quickly extinguished by the fire department.

A single vehicle accident was the cause of the department's rescue truck being summoned also on July 15th.  Two men were injured after a car backed into a house and then hit a light pole.  One was seriously injured and transported to Bradley County Medical Center. The driver of the vehicle was Mr. James C. Phillips and his passenger was Mr. Henry Walton,Jr.  Mr. Walton was the most seriously injured.  The Warren Police Department investigated the accident.
