Citation Issued After Accident At Hwy278 & Road 32

State Police have issued a citation for failure to yield after an accident at the intersection of State Highway 278 and Bradley County Road 32.  The wreck occurred September 8th around 4:20 P.M.  Two vehicles were involved.  One vehicle was traveling south on County Rd. 32 and the second was  traveling east on 278.  The driver of the vehicle going south on Co. Road 32 was driven by Kelley Osgood.  The driver of the vehicle on the highway was Patsy Coddington.  The Osgood vehicle failed to yield the right of way and was issued the citation.  There appeared to be no major injuries.

The intersection of Highway 278, often referred to as the South Bypass, and the County Road has been the site of several accidents over the years.  A number have been very bad and resulted in death and serious injury.  The view in both directions is excellent and it would seem drivers should be able to clearly see oncoming traffic.  Authorities are uncertain as to why the accidents have occurred.
