Imagination Library Work Continues

The Imagination Library, a project undertaken in Bradley county by the Warren Rotary Club and Friends of the Library, continues to do outstanding work in our community as it strives to help children age birth to 5 years old improve literacy and encourage parental reading to children.  Rotary and other organizations in the county have contributed money to help.

This program was started by the Dollywood Foundation ( aka Dolly Parton ) and consists of sending an appropriate-age book each month to children enrolled in the program.  To get your child involved in the program an official registration form must be filled out and on file with Friends of the Library.

To enroll your child contact the Library at 226-2536 or call 820-2822.  Individuals or groups desiring to assist are urged to contribute.  You may also call 820-2822.  Currently there are 775 children in Bradley under age 5.

The Imagination Library is a 60 volume set of books beginning with the children's classic "The Little Engine That Could".  Each month a new book is mailed to each child enrolled in the program.  There is no cost to the family.
