Judy Adams Retires As Human Development Center Superintendent

Friday February 27th was the final day on the job after 34 years for Human Development Center Superintendent Judy Adams.  She retired after serving the Southeast Arkansas Human Development Center for 23 years as Director of Nursing and 11 years as Superintendent.  She indicated the job was always a labor of love.  The employees told SRC that it had been an honor to work with and for her.

The Warren facility currently serves almost 90 clients and employs around 280 people.  The unit is one of Arkansas most modern centers and provides outstanding services to the mentally disabled.  Families and guardians rave about the care provided for their loved ones.

Linda Scales has been named Interim Superintendent.  She has been serving as Assistant Superintendent and will mange the facility while decisions are made about a permanent superintendent.
