BRADLEY BLOCK BUILDERS COMPLETE PINK TOMATO QUILT

Judy Simmons and Wanda Carr, members of the Bradley Block Builders, an extension of the Bradley County Extension Service, are pictured displaying this years completed Pink Tomato Quilt.  Each spring the club members make a quilt with a tomato theme and award it to the winning ticket holder the week of the annual Pink Tomato Festival.  Proceeds of this project are used by the club to benefit individuals and groups in the community.
The quilt was recently on display at the Little Rock Flower and Garden Show as the backdrop for the Bradley County Chamber of Commerce booth.  Chamber director David King stated the quilt attracted many people to the booth to take pictures with the quilt and to buy tickets for the drawing.  There were also offers to purchase it.
The quilt will be on display at various Warren businesses until the time of the drawing.  Tickets may be purchased at the businesses displaying the quilt, from any Bradley Block Builders member, or from the Extension Office.
The club meets on the second Thursday night of each month and welcomes new members.  If you are interested in visiting this group and possibly becoming a member, contact President Wanda Carr at
870 226-3906 or the Extension Office at 870 226-8410.
