Bradley County Mash Camp Announced

M*A*S*H (Medical Applications of Science for Health) camp is an excellent summer enrichment program sponsored state-wide by UAMS and the Arkansas Farm Bureau Federation that allows rising high school juniors and seniors to shadow health professionals and attend workshops that enhance their experience in the health care field. MASH students participate in dissections, casting, suturing, intubation and ventilation, CPR training, job-shadowing, a UAMS tour, and much, much more.

BCMC is excited to announce that their second annual MASH camp will be held June 22-26, 2015. If interested in an application, please visit www.bradleycountymedicalcenter.com and click on the MASH logo or contact the HS counselor at your school. Instructions for submission are included.

To make sure the program is accessible to all students, there is no cost for the student to participate. The program is entirely funded through donations. The individuals  assisting in the operation of the program are all volunteering their time or are employees Bradley County Medical Center as part of the hospital’s support of the program. All donations go directly to purchase the materials necessary to present the program. In addition to purchasing supplies needed for each student to participate at hands-on skills stations, the hospital will utilize funds received from donations to provide all participants with program t-shirts, scrub pants, meals, and snacks. In lieu of monetary donations; sponsored meals, canned drinks, bottled water, snacks, etc. are gratefully accepted. For additional information about the BCMC camp or to inquire about making a donation, contact Tiffany Holland at tholland@bcmed.org or (870) 226-4100.
