In order to reduce cost and keep the school district in proper financial condition, the Hermitage School Board has upheld a reduction in force action. Two certified teacher positions will be eliminated for the next school year. One is a social studies position and the other is a science teacher. Dr. Tracy Tucker stated that the district will remain in full accreditation with the elimination of the two jobs.
According to the district the two individuals affected are Leah McIntyre and Brian Gregory. The reduction in force takes effect for the 2015-2016 school year.
