Job Fair Big Success

The Bradley County Job Fair was held as advertised April 16th at Immanuel Baptist Church in Warren.  There was a good turnout and a large number of companies, state agencies, nonprofits,  educational institutions, laws enforcement agencies and other organizations seeking employees were on hand to provide information and interview prospects.  Numerous individuals and students took part seeking jobs and information on training and educational opportunities.

Bradley County DHS Administrator and City Alderman Dorothy Henderson gave the welcome.  Mayor Bryan Martin, DCO Area Director Ruthie Brown and Bradley County Chamber President David King welcomed all in attendance and made remarks.  Matt Overall of Immanuel Baptist Church also welcomed the crowd.

The  Job Fair Committee consisted of Chairperson Dorothy Henderson, David King, Geneva Curry, Charla Morgan and Donna Lawhon.  A number of Warren businesses and indiviuals helped sponsor the fair.  Lunch was served to the exhibitors.

Company officials told salineriverchronicle.com that jobs are available in the Warren area.  some need particular skills and some require very little with the businesses willing to train.  Special training and educational options are also available.  For those unable to attend the fair, contact the Arkansas Workforce Services Office at 870-224-7075.  There is an office in Warren open on most Tuesdays located in the Old National Guard Building at 101 South Martin Street.
