Members of the Bradley County Health Coalition meet Wednesday May 20th at SEACBEC and discussed future plans and the type endeavors the organization needs to pursue to improve health care in the county. Alicia Outlaw presided over the meeting.
Members were reminded of the mission and vision of the group.
Mission-The Bradley County Hometown Health Coalition will empower its citizens to take
responsibility for their individual health through education, advocacy and access
to resources.
Vision-The Bradley county Hometown Health Coalition envisions a Bradley County where all citizens
will have access to those services that will lead to physically, socially and emotionally
healthy lifestyles.
Kimber Knight led in a discussion of projects and programs to be pursued. Securing food for those in need and education of the public on ways to better access health care and individual health care records was a large part of the discussion. Ways to promote injury prevention was also a topic of consideration. Ways to seek grants to improve health and to better communicate with the public were also talked about.
