Words on a Shirt, a Warren business owned and operated by Jeff Goad, will sponsor the Pink Tomato Festival Quilt Show this year.
The annual quilt show previously held in the Bradley County Courthouse will be located in the shop adjacent to Goad’s business on Main Street. This building, across the street from Warren Bank, and will be remembered as the former location of the men’s section of Martin’s Department Store, and will provide a large area for the display of quilts.
During the week of the tomato festival the lighted show windows facing Main Street will feature two quilts to be given away by the local quilters. Opportunities to win these quilts may be purchased during the quilt show and at Dolores’ Pharmacy.
The quilt show is merely a showing of quilts not a judging. Anyone who wishes to display quilts during the show should take them to the show site on Friday, June 5, from 1-4 pm or Thursday, June 11, from 3-5 pm, or contact Joy Kitchens at 870 820-1354.
