Law Enforcement Makes Arrests, Recovers Stolen Guns

The Bradley County Sheriff's Office and the Warren Police Department jointly arrested three individuals who were all convicted felons for illegal possession of firearms.  Law enforcement recovered 18 guns which were all stolen property.  The Sheriff's Office received a tip that there were stolen weapons at 507 Howard Street.  Warren Police Sergeant Thomas Miller and County Chief Deputy Hershell Tillman investigated after receiving the tip.  When the arrived, they encountered Mario Courtney who was illegally in possession of a weapon.  They searched with property, including a vehicle, where they found the guns.  Arrested were Mario Courtney, age 26; Eric Scott Booker, age 33; and Paige Moody, age 23.  The three are pending bond:  Courtney-$5000; Booker- $2500, and Moody-$1500.  The Warren Police Department and the Bradley County Sheriff's Office was assisted by officers of the parole and probation office and the drug task force.  The investigation is continuing and all information will be turned over to the prosecutor.  The three have been charged with illegal possession of weapons and theft.  Booker was also charged with drug violations. Law enforcement is working to locate the owners of the stolen guns.
