Two Fires Responded To By City Of Warren

Warren Fire Fighters recently responded to two fires, both of which occurred on June 19th.  Both fires resulted in serious damage to property but no personal injury.

The first fire call came in at 1:52 A.M.  A vacant house at 308 Parks Street was ablaze.  Fifteen firemen and two city fire engines put the fire out but there was substantial damage.  The cause remains under investigation.

At 11:08 P.M. the department was summoned to the intersection of Myrtle and Pine Streets, just north of the fire station, to deal with a vehicle fire.  The car was owned by Sherman Ingram and suffered serious damage.  Fourteen firemen and one engine responded.

The Warren Fire Department urges all residents and business owners to practice fire prevention at all times and always contact the department prior to conducting outdoor burning.
