Warren/Hermitage Officials Attend Municipal League

Several Warren officials attended the 81st Annual Convention of the Arkansas Municipal League held June 24-26 in Little Rock.  Attending were Mayor Bryan Martin and Aldermen Dorothy Henderson, Zack Burks, Marty Reep and Joel Tolefree.  Also present was Lanette Vines, City Clerk for Hermitage and Warren City Attorney David Chambers.

Alderman Henderson serves on the Executive Committee of the league and Mayor Martin is on the board that operates the worker compensation program for all league cities.  Those attending heard from state officials including Governor Hutchinson and took part in a number of training and educational sessions.

The Arkansas Municipal League is an association made up of 500 Arkansas cities and towns and works to assist the local governments and advocates on their behalf with both the state legislature and the United States Congress.

Hermitage was awarded the Four Start Award for excellence in loss control at the Wednesday evening opening banquet.
