Warren Fire Department Week Of August 17-23

The Warren Fire Department responded to five calls August 17-23.  One grass fire, two accidents and two fires made up the five call.

On August 17th the department was called to a grass fire at the intersection of Outlaw and Baker Streets.  One engine and nine firemen attended and there was no serious damage.  The city rescue truck was on hand to assist in a two vehicle wreck on Martin Street August 19th.  Four firemen responded.  There were injuries.  On August 20th a fire occurred at 410 Burnett Rd. to an apartment.  There was little damage as two engines and 19 firemen handled the call.  On August 21st a single vehicle accident on Highway 63 North resulted in the rescue truck and one fireman assisting.   The final call was to 204 Womble Street on August 23rd.  One engine and one fireman attended what turned out to be a smoking meter loop.  There was no major damage.

Warren fire personnel continue to train monthly and equipment is checked daily by the full time department employees.
