WHS Announces Homecoming Court and Schedule

Senior Jordan Jones was recently elected 2015 Warren Lumberjack Homecoming Queen by the student body in grades 10-12.  Queen Jordan is the daughter of Mr. Jay and Jennifer Jones.  She will be crowned during the Homecoming Coronation which will be held Friday, October 16, at 12:30 p.m. in the Warren Cultural Center.  Queen Jordan will be escorted in the coronation ceremony by senior D’Angelo McCoy.  D’Angelo is the son of Mr. James McCoy and Ms. Jessica Duncan.  In the halftime presentation, Queen Jordan will be escorted by her father.  Attendants for the queen are Ryan Spears, son of Mr. and Mrs. Josh Spears and Ella Grace Green daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eric Green.  Serving in the queen’s court are ten senior maids.

Maid Kimberly Aguilar is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francisco Torres.  She will be escorted in the coronation ceremony by senior Demarquis Hall.  Demarquis is the son of Mr. Mark Hall and Mrs. Denise Sims.  In the halftime presentation, Kimberly will be escorted by her stepfather.

Maid Hayley Morgan Cooper is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Cooper.  She will be escorted in the coronation ceremony by senior Oscar Armstrong. Oscar is the son of Mr. Carlos Armstrong and Ms. Carolyn Davis.  In the halftime presentation, Hayley will be escorted by her grandfather, Mr. Renious Harton.

Maid Madison Neely Ann Howard is the daughter of Mr. Marty and Mrs. Stephanie Howard.  She will be escorted in the coronation ceremony by senior Jason Miranda.  Jason is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jorge Miranda.  In the halftime presentation, Madison will be escorted by her father.

Maid Loren Madison Johnson is the daughter of Mary Ann Johnson.  She will be escorted in the coronation ceremony by senior Franklin Delenore Roosevelt Gilmore, III.  Franklin is the son of Mr. Franklin Gilmore, Jr. and Mrs. Shawana Bosewell.  In the halftime presentation, Loren will be escorted by her mother and brother, Spencer Johnson.

Maid Destiny Darrinique Jones is the daughter of the late Curtis Burks and Ms. Sholonda Burks.  She will be escorted in the coronation ceremony by senior George Turner.  George is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Turner.  In the halftime presentation, Destiny will be escorted by her uncle, Lavell Neely.

Maid Carlye Rae Mitchell is the daughter of Mr. Brent Mitchell and Ms. Lou Anne Mitchell.  She will be escorted in the coronation ceremony by senior Amaru Brantley.  Amaru is the son of Ms. Pearl Brantley.  In the halftime presentation, Carlye will be escorted by her father.

Maid Nakasha Nealon is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Nealon.  She will be escorted in the coronation ceremony by senior football player Ar’Darius Harding.  Ar’Darius is the son of Mr. Melvin Harding and Ms. Katina Moore.  In the halftime presentation, Nakasha will be escorted by her father.

Maid Lauren Elizabeth Peyton is the daughter of Mr. Byron Peyton and Ms. Dana Peyton.  She will be escorted in the coronation ceremony by senior Peyton Hargis.  Peyton is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bart Hargis and Ms. Maria Haygood.  In the halftime presentation, Lauren will be escorted by her father.

Maid Jordyn Rose is the daughter of Mr. Danny Rose and Ms. Michelle Baggett.  She will be escorted in the coronation ceremony by senior Marquis Moore.  Marquis is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Greg Moore.  In the halftime presentation, Jordyn will be escorted by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Rose.

Maid Anahi Rostro is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joaquin Rostro.  She will be escorted in the coronation ceremony by senior Dakota Herron.  Dakota is the son of Mr. Javier Perez and Ms. Rebecca Dominguez.  In the halftime presentation, Anahi will be escorted by her mother and father.

The coronation ceremony will begin promptly at 12:30 p.m.  The doors will be closed at 12:20, and all people planning to attend need to be seated by that time.

Following the coronation, the parade will be held at 2:00 p.m. and will begin on North Main Street at the corner of Bond Street.  It will travel south to Church Street and will then turn west for one block before turning north on Myrtle Street. A community-wide pep assembly will be held in the grassy area behind Molly’s Diner.

The football game will kick off at 7:00 p.m., and Queen Jordan and her royal court will be presented to the fans at halftime.
