According to a report provided the Hermitage School Board during their regular monthly meeting conducted on January,11th, Hermitage has a total of 457 students. Of that number, 419 are grades k through 12. Pre-k makes up the difference.
Normal financial reports were submitted along with comments from the superintendent, K-12 principal, the school improvement specialist and the ESL coordinator/Pre-K director. There was considerable discussion concerning how to deal with excessive absenteeism among both students and teachers. No action was taken.
The board voted to renew the school's liability insurance at a cost of $4,419.00 annually. After an executive session, the board adjourned with no further action.
