James Pafford Found Guilty of Sex Crimes

Retired 71-year old Pafford EMS founder James Pafford was transferred to Hempstead County jail Friday morning after being found guilty of sex crimes. He was arrested in March of 2015 after investigations by the Hempstead County Sheriff's Office and Agents of the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division following allegations about the possible sexual abuse of a young boy.
Following the investigations, he was charged with two counts of rape and two counts of sexual assault.  He could receive a minimum of 25 years on each rape count and five years on each sexual assault count. Sentencing is expected to resume Tuesday, February 16.
