Lions Club Tests 125 Preschoolers for Vision

The Warren Lions Club has been providing vision testing for preschool children in the Warren/Bradley County area.  During the month of January, 2016, 125 four and five year olds have been tested.  Kids at First Baptist were tested on January, 19th, First Presbyterian on January, 26th and Warren Headstart on January 28th.  In October of 2015, Warren ABC Preschool was tested.  Plans call for Hermitage ABC on February, 2nd and Hermitage Headstart on the 2nd.  A special camera is used to take a picture of the eyes and if problems are detected, the student is referred to an eye care physician.

One of the primary endeavors of Lions International and the Warren Lions Club, is the improvement and treatment of sight.  The cameral used by the Club was purchased with funds raised by the members using various fundraisers and contributions.
