Job Fair Held To Assist Former OMP Employees

The Family Life Center of Immanuel Baptist Church housed the job fair.
 In an effort to assist employees affected by the closure of the OMP plant in Warren, Arkansas, Arkansas Workforce and Bradley County Economic Development Corporation joined forces to hold a job fair May, 17th at Immanuel Baptist Church.  A good number of local and area employers were on hand to talk with those seeking jobs.  There were private sector businesses and various agencies and service providers on hand to explain available jobs and to provide information on pay and benefits. There was information available about educational opportunities also.

Among those on hand seeking employees were Bradley County Medical Center, Area Agency on Aging, Southeast Arkansas Human Development Center, State Department of Corrections and some private companies. UAM was also present.

One potential employee told SRC that he had job offers out of state but hoped to find a suitable job in the Warren Bradley County area because this is where he desires to live.  A good number of individuals attended, seeking employment.


UAM was well represented at the Job Fair.

Sheila Smith represented the Southeast Arkansas Human Development Center at the Job Fair.
