Hines Takes First in the Tomato Eating Contest

Each year during the Bradley County Pink Tomato Festival, a tomato eating contest with a number of categories  is held.  In the 2016 Professional category the winner was Ed Hines.  Kendrick Newton captures 2nd place, while Earl Charles took third.  State Representative Jeff Wardlaw won the celebrity division.

In addition to the tomato eating contest, a bacon eating contest was sponsored by Petit Jean Meats.  Winners were Justin Calhoun, 1st place; Michael Johnson, 2nd.
