City Calls Out Street Crews Sunday Afternoon

Due to the heavy winds and rain experienced in Warren Sunday afternoon, city of Warren street employees were called out to clear streets and pick up debris.  According to Street Foremen Ricky Joe Davis, city employees worked from around 4:00 P.M. to 10;00 P.M. Sunday afternoon and evening.  The most serious problem relating to a city street was near the intersection of Turner and Scotta.  Crews had to wait until utility lines were removed by entergy before the large limb could be removed.  Other areas were worked and drainage cleared.

Monday morning, the street department was still working on debris removal and checking throughout the city limits.  Residents should report any remaining problems to the Mayors Office.
