Tomato Festival Thanks City/County Law Enforcement & Firemen

To show appreciation to the public and private employees who worked so hard to make the 2016 Bradley County Pink Tomato Festival safe and successful, the tomato festival committee provided them a "thank you" meal Tuesday, July, 12th.  Hamburgers and hot dogs were prepared by Chamber President Joel Tolefree and 2016 festival chairman Mike Nichols.  The food was provided by the festival committee and local businesses.

The 2016 festival went off without a hitch and police reported there were no incidents during the many activities.  The food was provided to the Warren Police Department, Warren Fire Department, Bradley County Sheriffs Office and EASI Ambulance Service.  During the festival, these agencies worked many extra hours often in the heat, to assure the safety and convenience of those attending the festival as well as the businesses and vendors in the downtown area.  All the while their citywide and countywide duties continued.

Chairman Nichols stated that without the support
of the city and county and the public employees, the festival would not have been a success and have kept everyone safe.  The meal was a way to show a small token of appreciation for the good job performed.
