UAM Professional Development Week Set for August 15-19

            MONTICELLO, AR — Faculty and staff at the University of Arkansas at Monticello will kick off the 2016 fall semester with Professional Development Week August 15-19.
            The event will include orientation sessions for new faculty, addresses by UAM Chancellor Karla Hughes and UA System President Donald Bobbitt as well as a keynote address by Dr.  Aaron Thompson, interim president of Kentucky State University and a national leader in organization behavior and race and gender relations. Thompson will speak at 9:15 a.m. August 16 in the Fine Arts Center auditorium.
            UAM will host new student orientation on Monday, August 22 with open registration scheduled for Tuesday, August 23. Classes for the 2016 fall semester begin on Wednesday, August 24.
