Housing Authority Board and Staff Receive Awards

Members of the Warren Public Housing Authority Board and staff were honored with certificates for their service to the housing authority and those served by the authority Wednesday, October 19th.
Those being honored were:
Commissioner Hugh Allen Quimby for 35 years of service
Commissioner Janelle Lipton for 30 years of service
Employee Shelia Jackson for 22 years of service
Executive Director Mike Jolley for 22 years of service

The Warren Housing Authority owns and operates low income housing within the city of Warren, manages the section 8 rental program that provides privately owned rental houses to those in need and oversees the "Home" program that repairs homes for the low income and builds new houses for those in need at a low cost.  The Authority is owned by the City of Warren and operated by a board of commissioners, appointed by the Warren City Council.
