Ribbon cuttings were conducted for two new businesses located on Martin Street, Thursday morning, November 17th at 10:00 A.M. The first celebration was carried out at J & R Auto and Diesel Repair located at 104 S. Martin Street. Right after that ribbon was cut, those in attendance moved just to the south and cut the ribbon for Maverick's Steaks and Seafood located at 304 S. Martin.

J & R is owned by Jonathan Wood and his wife Robin, while Mavericks is owned by Scott Clanton. J & R operates a full service repair shop in what was in the past called Lasiter's Garage and Mavericks is located inside the Easy Money Trading Post that is located in what was one time a church building. Both businesses are in great locations and provide easy access to customers.
