Early Morning Fire Claims Life

The Warren Fire Department responded to a fire around 2:30 A.M. Wednesday January 11th at #26 Davenport Street.  According to a spokesman for the department, around 20 fire fighters answered the call.

Killed in the fire was Mr. Gaylord Rhodes, who resided in the residence.  According to the county coroner, Mr. Rhodes passed away due to apparent smoke inhalation. The home was severally damaged.  There were no other injuries suffered.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
