The University of Arkansas at Monticello has awarded a Leadership Scholarship to Austin Hammons of Warren, according to Tawana Greene, Executive Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management at UAM.
The Leadership Scholarship is a $1,000 per year award divided equally over two semesters that covers tuition and fees and is awarded for a maximum of eight semesters, excluding summer terms.
Austin is the son of Joe and Ladonna Hammons. His high school activities include Beta Club, Drama, FBLA, SkillsUSA, and being a Junior Rotarian. Hammons is also a member of the National Honor Society. He will be pursuing a degree in English at UAM in the fall.
