With the help of Mr. John Gavin, the Hermitage Elementary CCLC Afterschool garden club planted vegetables in the raised beds at the school. The lettuce and radish crop was ready to be harvested so first grade students helped Mrs. Gwen Huitt harvest this morning. The cafeteria ladies washed the lettuce and radishes and offered it as a choice on the salad bar today.
