Warren, Ark. (March 22, 2012)— Arkansas Superior Federal Credit Union (ASFCU) has awarded a $1000 college scholarship to two promising high school graduates, Benjamin Adcock of Monticello High School and Courtney Stain of Drew Central High School.
“We were greatly impressed with all of the scholarship applicants, but these two students stood out,” ASFCU President Dwayne Ashcraft said. “We had originally planned on awarding only one scholarship, but we were so impressed by these two students, we decided to add a second.”
Ashcraft and other credit union representatives were on hand for both schools’ awards assemblies to present each student with his or her scholarship. Adcock will attend Ouachita Baptist University, and Stain plans on attending Lyon College in the fall.

In addition to their scholarship program, Arkansas Superior Federal Credit Union also recognizes students who donate their time and service by volunteering in the community. Each month for the past school year, ASFCU has selected one local student for the Superior Student Spotlight honor. That student is featured in a newspaper ad and awarded a $50 gift card.
