Two Earn GFWC Individual Honors at State Convention

Mrs. Diane Parnell and Mrs. Sandra Gatling return from GFWC State Convention loaded down with awards.

Members from the GFWC Warren Woman's Club attended the GFWC State Convention held at the Hilton Garden Inn in North Little Rock, on May 5, 2012.  During the convention the Warren chapter received several honors, among those were individual honors earned by Mrs. Dianne Parnell and Sandra Gatling.

Mrs. Gatling chairs the Arts Partnership/Collaboration Committee of the GFWC Warren Woman's Club.  Her individual member awards presented at the convention were as follows:

OVERALL--GFWC of  Arkansas Crafts Contest Traveling Trophy--
awarded to the mixed media entry of a sunflower

This award is presented to the member with the highest total points from four categories:

Technological/computer Arts & Crafts, Arts, Crafts, Needlework, and Wearable Art

 1st Place – Crafts - mixed media
1st Place—Art - acrylic painting
1st Place—Wearable Art - domino jewelry
3rd Place—Photography - scenic
3rd Place—Photography - feature
