Warren School District-Groovin' at End-of-Year Celebration

The Warren School District held its End-of-the-Year celebration Thursday evening in the Family Life Center of Immanuel Baptist Church.  All school employees were invited to attend and were fed a meal of fish and chicken.  The theme for the event was "Groovin'".

Following the dinner district retires were recognized with plaques honoring their years of service.  Retired were Randy Henley, Donna Raines, Shannon Stevens, Roger Grider, Debbie Hairston, Rita Martin, and Marilyn Riley.

Warren Bank and Trust Company announced their awarding of the Teacher Excellence Grant to Warren Middle School teacher Sharon McClellan.

The P. H. Herring Memorial Grant was awarded to Ann Orleanski, English teacher at Warren Middle School.

A highlight of the night was the announcing of the Weiss - Grey Award to the Warren School District Teacher of the Year.  This year's recipient was Mrs. Randy Henley.

Mrs. Denise Lambert was named Volunteer of the Year for her many hours of volunteer service at Eastside Elementary.

Door prizes which were donated by local businesses, were given away during the celebration.

Mrs. Orleanski was awarded the Perry Herring Memorial Grant.

Mrs. Denise Lamber was named Volunteer of the Year.
