Guilty Plea in October 2011 Animal Cruelty Case

Jeffrey Dawkins, 24 of Warren, plead guilty to one count of aggravated animal cruelty on July 10, 2012 and was sentenced to five years supervised probation plus court costs and fines.

Dawkins, who in October 2011 came under investigation due to four malnourished dogs that were discovered on his property had been charged with four counts of animal cruelty.  In court on Tuesday however three of those charges were deemed null as a plea bargain was reached.  Dawkins plead guilty to the final charge.
