Two New Businesses Open in Warren

The Bradley County Chamber of Commerce Board met Monday at noon at Golden Girls.

In old business, the board discussed the Main Street network program.  David King will be representing Warren at the Main Street network convention coming up soon.

Under new business, the board talked about "Party in the Park" which is slated for Saturday, October 6.  The featured movie will be Zoo Keeper.  In conjunction with "Party in the Park", local author Keri Bennett will hold a book signing and a cook-off will be held.  Mr. King reported that the Chamber of Commerce has purchased all of the equipment needed to produce "Party in the Park".  Because the Chamber now owns the equipment, plans are now in the works to hold outdoor movie events throughout the year and throughout the county.  Locations mentioned included Warren, Hermitage, and Moro Bay.

During the director's report, Mr. King informed the board that a ribbon cutting has been scheduled for C.C. Electronics owned by Christopher Dodds Thursday, September 13, at 10:00 a.m.  The location of this new business is in the former MooMoo's Book Store directly behind Gannaway Drug store on Cedar Street.

Mr. King also reported that another new business, Words on Shirts has opened in the former Warren Printing Building on Main Street.  This establishment prints T-shirts, plaques, and trophies.

He also reported the closing of two businesses recently:  Custom Audio on Main Street and Kountry Kitchen on North Myrtle Street.
