Just north of the Saline River bride on Highway 63 North, a two-vehicle accident occurred between a log truck and a pickup truck. The drivers of both trucks were traveling North when the accident occurred. According to those at the scene, the driver of the pickup truck was struck from behind by the log truck when the pickup truck started to turn left off the highway.
The driver of the pickup truck, Tommy Richardson, was taken via ambulance to the Bradley County Medical Center with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening. The driver of the log truck was not injured in the accident.
