Historic Appointment Made By Warren Bank & Trust, Kelly Ashcraft Named Bank President

Employees of Warren Bank and Trust Company gathered in the lobby of the bank just before time to open Wednesday morning October 9th to hear board chairman John B. Frazer, Jr. announce that the board has named Kelly Ashcraft as the bank's president. Her duties begin immediately. Mrs. Ashcraft has been serving as Chief Operating Officer and has worked for Warren Bank and Trust for over 20 years.

She has worked in several capacities within the bank and completed numerous banking courses including the Arkansas Bankers Association Lending School and the Independent Community Banker's of America Compliance Institute.  She also has trained at the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.

Kelly resides in Warren with her husband Jerry Ashcraft and has two daughters, Taylor and Payton.  She is a native of Calhoun County and grew up in Hampton.  She was valedictorian of her high school class in 1987. Mrs. Ashcraft is active in civic affairs and is a life member of Junior Auxiliary of  Warren.

Kelly Ashcraft made history by being named the first woman to be President of a bank in Warren, Arkansas .  She will be one of a handful of Women Bank Presidents in Arkansas.

Board Chairman, John B. Frazer, Jr.  commented, " The Board is delighted to place Kelly Ashcraft in the office of President and looks forward to her service to the Bank and to the local community."

Mrs. Ashcraft told the Bank employees she was, " ...honored and ready to get to work."
