In other business the authority approved a proposal to hire Wynn Surveying to reset the corners of the intermodal property at a cost of no more than $6160. They approve another $1000 to cover the installation of permanent markers for the site.
After considerable discussion the members passed several motions. The first motion was to request an extension of the EDA and DRA grants to allow the authority more time to make decisions. Another motion instructed the engineer to come up with a price for a study to look at the underground water supply for the park and to research ways to get more water to the site form the city of Monticello. The board was told that prospects are looking at the site and one of them may need around on million gallons of water per day.
In a final vote the board voted to grant authority to the Chairman to make decisions and sign documents if necessary should action be needed before a board meeting can be held. Any action should be reviewed by the Authority's attorney at the same time. This motion appears to relate to dealing with business prospects.
