Travelin Tomatoes Come in First Place

Each spring, the Bradley County Extension Service sponsors the Walk Across Arkansas program.  This is an exercise program that encourages increased physical activity by walking, as well as any other exercise.  This year, Bradley County had 14 teams (11 teams from the Bradley County Medical Center) with a total of 105 participants.  The total minutes walked was 172,737, with the Travelin Tomatoes coming in first place with a total of 26,038.  This is a total health care savings of $17,274.00.  As part of the incentives to get active, the Bradley County Hometown Coalition donated two $50.00 grocery gift cards to the top two walkers. First place winner was Lea Ann Forrest and second place winner was Randy Hollis.  Pictured is the Travelin Tomatoes Team:  Michelle Carter, Trish Wilkinson, Gregg Reep, Amber Spears, Randy Hollis, Robin Hollis, Randy Rawls, Jane Weier, and Karen Rawls.
