Jonathan Cruz of Warren Participates in Master Musician Class

Back Row Far Right:  Jonathan Cruz of Warren

The Spencer Gallery of the University of Arkansas at Monticello Fine Arts Center was the setting for the Master Musician Class sponsored by the Southeast Arkansas Concert Association.  Baritone Woodrow Bynum and Pianist Ryan Reilly worked with youth and young adults to fine tune their skills.  The participants represented several counties in the Southeast Arkansas area and performed a mix of music from classical to pop.

The Southeast Arkansas Concert Association is committed to bringing the arts to children and adults and to promote interest and enjoyment in the performing arts and inspire the general public by providing opportunities for the performers and the audience to share an artistic experience. During the master musician class, the participants were able to play the piano or sing for the audience and the professional musicians.  Feedback was then provided by Mr. Bynum and Mr. Reilly.  The feedback provided them with both encouragement and new techniques to employ in their musical pursuits.

The participants in the master musician class included Raymond Carmine of Monticello, Jonathan Cruz from Warren, John Gladden from Monticello, Reid Mansur of Crossett, Dylan Miles from McGehee, and Ben Sommervell from McGehee.
