Monthly BCEDC Board Meeting


The board of the Bradley County Economic  Development Commission meet September 29th.  The meeting consisted of a review of the organizations finances and a legislative report by State Rep. Jeff Wardlaw.  Rep. Wardlaw talked about the future of the private option, the Human Development  Centers in Arkansas and the Environmental Academy  in East Camden.

In board action  a vote was approved to allow Senator Pryor's office to use the BCEDC board room for meetings with constituents.  The approval is not related to a political campaign.

The board voted to contribute $250.00 to the SE Arkansas human Development Center for Special Olympics and $200.00 to the Jr. Auxiliary.

There was discussion about working the Chamber to share a receptionist and /or a telephone.  Ways to better distribute the BCEDC newsletter and get people to read it were discussed.

The director reported on various activities and the 2015 budget was briefly talked about.  The Executive Committee will consider a proposed budget.
