The City of Warren Civil Service Commission meet March 12 to consider personnel matters relating to the Warren Police Department. Members of the Commission present were: Chairperson Phyllis Barnes, Janice Smith, Nick Calloway and Bob Milton. Commissioner Jesse Jacobs was unable to attend.
The Commission considered the application of Shiloh Jordan for the position of patrolman. After reviewing Mr. Jordan's application and interviewing him, the Commission voted 4-0 to hire him. Mr. Jordan is a certified law enforcement officer who is a native of southeast Arkansas.
In other action the Commission considered a proposal to promote Patrolman Roy DeLassus to the rank of corporal. Mr. Delassus' record was reviewed. He was recommended for promotion by Chief Peek. On a vote of 4-0 the promotion was approved.
