Bradley County Health Fair Held


The 2016 Bradley County Health Fair was conducted Saturday April, 9th on N. Bragg Street. Activities were held at the Bradley County Health Department, Kids First, the Brunson Medical Complex, the Rural Fire Station and on the grounds of the Bradley County Fair.  There were activities indoors and outdoors.  There were approximately 72 vendors, departments or agencies providing information and services to the large crowd in attendance.

The Fair was sponsored by the Bradley County Medical Center, Bradley County Health Unit, Kids First, Bradley County Chamber of Commerce, Bradley County Extension Services and the Bradley County Hometown Health Coalition.  There were activities and services for all ages.

According to the "Mission Statement" of the Fair, the mission of the Bradley County Health Fair is 'to educate, support and improve our community's overall health and wellbeing through healthy lifestyle choices by providing them the tools needed to take responsibility for their health and to improve their quality of life.'
Warren Lions Club offered free vision screenings at the Health Fair.

  1. A brief update on the health fair. We had 550 participants at the health fair this year. It was a beautiful day and everyone attending enjoyed it and received a lot of helpful information and health screenings. Thank you to all who came and made it a success.
