The Hermitage FFA Forestry team competed at the State FFA Career Development Event (CDE) on Thursday, April 14, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The team of Connor Wilkerson, Hunter Saunders, Ethan Boykin, and Cade Wilkerson swept the contest by sixty-one points. Ethan Boykin was the high scoring individual, Hunter Saunders was second, Connor Wilkerson fourth and Cade Wilkerson was fifth place in the contest. The team will represent Arkansas and compete at the National Competition in Indianapolis, Indiana, in October, 2016. The team is coached by Mr. Taylor Gwin, Agri Education instructor at Hermitage High School.
