Chamber Receives $59,602.00 For Depot

The Bradley County Chamber of Commerce has been notified that a grant in the amount of $59,602.00 has been awarded for use in the renovation of the railroad depot located on Cedar Street near the east side of the city park.  The funding will be used to make repairs to the depot building to protect it and help get it usable for private and public purposes.

Chamber and City of Warren Officials will meet with Department of Heritage personnel Thursday, June 23rd to discuss the project and make plans to proceed.  Another grant and other funding is being sought to complete the full renovation.

The Depot was donated to the Chamber by the railroad company to be used to develop economic and recreational opportunities.
