Warren School Board Takes Personnel Action in Called Meeting

The Warren School Board met in special session, Wednesday, August 3, at 5:30 p.m.

The board approved the following personnel matters:

Licensed contracts for the 2016-17 school year were approved as follows:

Rebecca Rhoden- 3rd grade instructor
Elizabeth Stracner- ADED parttime instructor
Noel Turner-High School History

Classified new hire:

Melissa Henke-Parapro for one year at ABC Preschool

They accepted the following resignations:

Lori Harrison-Floater ABC Preschool
Rusty Densmore-Instructor of Construction Technology/High School Soccer Coach

The following were approved for the
ABC Grant for the 2016-17 school year:

Jonalyn Reep-ABC Director (No Salary)
Colleen Watkins - ABC Coordinator
Angela Barnes-Lead Teacher
Jamie Courtney-Lead Teacher
Laci Bratton-Lead Teacher
Martha L. Mann-Lead Teacher
Destiny Mann-Lead Teacher
Angie Trussell-Lead Teacher
Amanda Huitt-Parapro (Teacher's Assistant)
Mary Jane Bradley- Parapro (Teacher Assistant)
Valerie Ridgell-Parapro (Teacher's Assistant)
Marilyn Rauls- Parapro (Teacher's Assistant)
Kasey Shores-Parapro (Teacher's Assistant)
Melissa Henke - Parapro (Teacher's Assistant)
Lois Hedger- ABC Bookkeeper, 1/2 salary paid by ABC, 1/2 salary paid by ADED)
Priscilla Vincent - Food Prep Manager (Paid out of food and nutrition)
Elia Rodriguez - Food Prep Assistant (part time paid out of food and nutrition)

NSLA Funds non ABC Employees approved:

Dalila Pedroza - Lead Teacher ABC II
Tiffany Hines - Parapro (Teacher's Assistant for ABC II)

The board awarded a contract to Phillips Co. Inc. in the amount of $62,382 for fencing and ticket booth construction at the football field.

Superintendent Acklin stated after the meeting that the school would be receiving some insurance funds due to the wind damage to the fence at the football field.

The board discussed the procedures for accepting students from outside the district and for granting students permission to go to other districts.
